Carbon Footprint
These symbols indicate environmental performance indicators for each pair of pliers. The carbon footprint (PCF) indicates how much CO₂ is generated during the manufacture of the pliers. The PCF is calculated using the cradle-to-gate approach, which considers the life cycle of the pliers from raw material extraction to leaving our factory, with a focus on the manufacturing phase. This allows us to systematically evaluate the CO₂ emissions of a pair of pliers and identify opportunities for improvement in design, materials and production. A high recycling rate saves resources and supports the circular economy. Steel can be recycled indefinitely without any loss of quality. By using recycled steel, we improve the environmental performance of our pliers.
- Precision pliers for ultra fine cutting work, e. g. in electronics and fine mechanics
- Very precisely ground and sharp cutting edges with very small bevels for exact cutting on delicate electronic components; also available without bevel for flush cutting
- Cutting edges additionally induction-hardened, cutting edge hardness approx. 64 HRC
- Approx. 20% lighter than conventional electronics pliers
- Bolted joint with carefully manufactured joint surfaces for even, low-friction movement throughout the entire opening range
- Smooth-running double spring for a gentle and even opening
- Ergonomically optimised multi-component handles
- Round head
- All edges on the head are rounded - reduces the risk of damage to the insulation when making corrections to cable harnesses.
