The serrated gripping jaws hold flat workpieces securely. The serrated, oval burner port enables secure gripping of round, half-round and polygonal objects. With these two holding options, all common holding situations can be mastered within the gripping capacity: pulling and holding sheet metal and angled steel, counter-holding small hexagonal nuts, holding and turning pipes and conduits, bending locking pins, tensioning Bowden cables. In addition to these typical gripping, holding and bending tasks, the combination pliers from Knipex have a real talent for cutting.
High cutting performance – suitable for cutting copper cables as well as hard wires
The combination pliers from Knipex cut multi-strand copper cables up to Ø 10 mm, medium-hard wire up to Ø 3.1 mm and even hard wire (up to approx. 46 HRC) up to Ø 2 mm. Even thick cables (up to 16 mm²) can be easily inserted into and cut with the pliers. Thanks to a hardness of approx. 60 HRC, the wear of the cutting edges remains minimal even with intensive use.
Forged from special tool steel and then oil hardened
The Knipex 03 02 160 combination pliers are forged from special tool steel as well as receiving multi-stage oil hardening and black atramentising for corrosion protection. Careful machining, quenching and tempering are the basis of the long and reliable tool life, typical for Knipex, for a wide variety of applications. With the multi-component grips on the handles, they rest securely in the hand.
