Cut cable in a professional and non-tiring way, ideal for installation work

Why cable should only be cut using cable shears

Unlike diagonal cutters with blades that meet at an obtuse angle, for example, Knipex cable shears cut using a scissors action. This principle produces a substantially better result, because cables are cut very smoothly and cleanly. They are therefore excellent for shortening cable, e.g. in house wiring work.

They can, for example, also be used to professionally cut NYM-J 3x1.5 mm or NYM-J 5x2.5 mm and all other standard and finely stranded Cu and Al cable up to 50 mm². Due to the nature of their cutting edges, the cable shears should not be used to cut hard wire.

Knipex 95 21 165: cable cutting requiring little physical effort

Protect hands and material: thanks to the very sharp cutting edges, compared to conventional diagonal cutters, the user only needs around one third of the physical effort when cutting using the Knipex 95 21 165. Especially during prolonged use, e.g. building installation work, less tiring work substantially reduces strain for the fitter. Thanks to a scissors action and the precision ground cutting edges, the result is a clean, technically perfect cut –the ideal condition for subsequent connection work.

Screwed joint with easy operation – opening spring to make work easier

These cable shears have the precisely running, bolted joint to thank for their very easy operation. The self-locking joint bolt can be tightened if necessary. These cable shears can also be deployed for the less tiring cutting of larger cable cross-sections. The protected inset captive opening spring helps here, saving one hand movement during every operation using the Knipex 95 21 165.
