1. The question of material
Robust and temperature-resistant. These are minimum requirements for high-quality combination and multi-function pliers. Most of them are made from special tool steel that can withstand mechanical loads.
2. The question of length
A pair of combination pliers is a classic tool - and hardly any aspect is as important when purchasing as the question: “Do the pliers lie comfortably in your hand?” Those with smaller palms and fingers are well advised to use pliers in the shorter range of the common 160 to 220 millimeter pliers length. 3. The question of cutting edge hardness

The cutting edges of commercially available combination pliers usually lie between 60 HRC and 64 HRC. Versions at the upper end of this scale are particularly suitable for cutting hard materials.
