Intuitively achieve professional crimping results
A great deal of experience is required when crimping non-insulated, open plug connectors. Normally. The Knipex 97 52 14 crimping pliers enable professional, electrically safe connections even without prior experience. With these crimping pliers, the user intuitively does everything right. The crimping pressure is set to the ideal level in the factory.
They can also be adjusted by hand if this is necessary. Non-insulated, open plug connectors are reliably crimped to the conductors in the precision machined crimp profiles. The integral lock which can be released where necessary ensures that the pliers only open on reaching the crimping pressure set in the factory.
Considerable relief thanks to the toggle lever transmission
The Knipex 97 52 14 operate with a toggle lever transmission. Toggle lever transmissions can generate very efficient power reinforcement in a small space with very short stroke. The manual force on the Knipex 97 52 14 is noticeably reinforced, which pays dividends for the user. Much less physical effort is required compared to conventional crimping pliers. The user can produce professional connections with comparatively little time and effort. Force is effectively reinforced and reaches the non-insulated, open plug connectors in well-measured way.
This is how it is done: three hand movements to produce a professional crimp connection
A plug connector is placed in a suitable crimping die. The lower handle is then pulled up first using two fingers, until both jaws are resting on the plug connector to be crimped, thereby fixing it in the crimp profile. The next step is to insert the stripped cable. This can be achieved very easily, quickly and precisely using the Knipex 97 59 14 locator available as an accessory. Crimping is carried out in the third step. Large cross-sections can also be crimped safely and conveniently thanks to the toggle lever transmission. All of these qualities are made to last, because the pliers are manufactured from high-grade chrome vanadium electric steel – according to Knipex quality criteria.
