97 52 05Crimping PliersFor two-hand operation
- For solder-free electrical connections
- The ingenious lever transmission reduces the handforce up to 30% compared with regular crimping pliers
- Consistently high crimping quality due to precision dies and ratchet mechanism (unlockable)
- Tools have been set precisely (calibrated) in the factory
- Two-hand operation for easy crimping of large conductor diameters
- Easy handling as a result of well balanced centre of gravity, angled head and ergnomically shaped handles
- Crimping die is not exchangeable
Extremely user-friendly: precision requiring little time and effort
Intuitively achieve professional crimping results
The crimping of plug connectors is a technically demanding task because connections need to be created that are mechanically and electrically safe and secure. With the Knipex 97 52 05 crimping pliers, crimping becomes a routine professional job, and the user has a tool that intuitively enables him to do everything right. Non-insulated plug connectors with a plug width of 4.8 and 6.3 mm and open cable entry are reliably crimped to the conductors in the precision-machined crimp profiles using B or F crimps.
The integral lock ensures that the pliers only open once the ideal crimping pressure set in the factory has been reached. It can be released where necessary. The crimping pressure can be adjusted.
30 % less effort required – the leverage principle is used twice
With the Knipex 97 52 05, up to 30 % less effort is required compared to conventional crimping pliers. How is that achieved? The answer is applied physics. The handles of the crimping pliers are shaped to produce a long lever arm, permitting two-handed operation. This enables even large cross-sections to be crimped conveniently and safely. Special toggle lever transmission is also integrated in the crimping pliers, so that even a low level of manual force gets to the connector, and is always carefully measured. The user can therefore produce stable connections from conductors and crimp connectors with little time and effort.
This is how it is done: three hand movements to produce a professional crimp connection
A non-insulated plug connector with open cable entry is inserted. This is achieved very easily, quickly and precisely using the Knipex 97 49 95 locator which can be ordered as an accessory. The lower handle is pulled up using two fingers, until both jaws are resting on the plug connector to be crimped, thereby fixing it in the crimp profile. After inserting the stripped cable, the crimping operation is carried out.
The high Knipex quality standards and selection of materials with high-grade chrome vanadium electric steel ensure that all the qualities of these crimping pliers will last the user for a long time.
